Face to Face
You know that special meetup I mentioned in my last post?
Well, yesterday I had my very first face to face meeting with another blogger - someone whose blog I read regularly and who reads mine.
This is me and Cellobella from Red Sultana relaxing on the grass at Cottesloe Beach with Guerita and Chiq.
Cellobella has already blogged about our meetup, and as she says it was a bit strange, but in a good way. As she quoted me saying I felt a bit nervous, like I was on a blind date. Although I think we both probably knew a lot more about each other than most blind daters do! It’s completely different than meeting a new friend “cold”. It’s like you have a head start on the friendship and already know quite a few things you have in common. We’d already established in some previous emails that I know her brother (yes, the totally gorgeous one) and we did the Perth thing of working out friends in common - there’s a lot less than 6 degrees of separation between people here. Everyone knows everyone’s brother, school friend or cousin’s husband’s sister twice removed.
It was so fun, putting a “face” to the blog; Cellobella was really lovely, just like I expected her to be and her kids were just as gorgeous in the flesh. I don’t think when I started blogging that I ever imagined meeting an online friend in real life, but I’m really glad I did. It was a great way to spend the arvo.

Hello blonde one. Yes it was a very pleasant way to spend the afternoon. My two reckoned they got dumped a few times - they had a great time. For me getting dumped would not constitute a great time but there you are.
