Happy Straya Day!

For all my Aussie readers – Happy Australia Day! Hope you’re all enjoying the best that “Straya” has to offer – meat on the barbie, good friends, good drinks and fun in the sun.

We’re off to a party at a friend’s apartment, which overlooks the Swan River and should have a pretty good view of the Skyworks show. I haven’t been to one since we left Perth, but I’m betting in hasn’t changed much – starting off with “Something in the Air tonight” building to a Gangajang crescendo!

I’m going to try my hand at a few fireworks photos – hopefully I’ll have something halfway decent to show you tomorrow.

Happy Belated Ozzie Day to you too! I like the fact that there is now a “conversation” about changing the date…. as the Australian Aborigines call it “Invasion Day”. I get so sad about the fact that we’re still so divided in so many ways.

Still, we had a lovely hot sunny Aussie day looking over the beach. We would have been ON the beach, but Boo was too ill.

Fes last blog post..We’re ba-ack….

Happy Straylia day from here too (belatedly) – nothing like seeing fireworks without having to find a possie in public that doesn’t have the added advantage of prickles, ants or a long walk back to the car!
