Thanks for visiting my blog.

I am an Aussie Mum originally from Perth but currently living in Northwest Mexico with my husband and 2 daughters. We left home over 8 years ago and have been roaming the world and parts of Australia ever since. Some of our stints have been holidays (a season of skiing in Whistler, Canada), working holidays (London, UK and French Alps) and postings for my husband´s work (Saudi Arabia, regional NSW and Mexico).

I started blogging in August 2007. My blog is mostly about my life as an expat in Mexico as well as issues that interest me and all the joys (and challenges) of being a Mum to 2 girls. I love to travel and try new adventures, which might explain our nomadic lifestyle.

Cast of Characters

Guera - Me! Guera is a Spanish word (pronounced where-a) meaning “blondie”, a name I get called often here in Mexico. Blonde hair attracts a fair bit of attention in these parts!

Rocky - my husband of 8 years, he´s the quiet type – you won´t find him commenting, or even reading, this blog! He does like to help though, by giving me post title suggestions – Blogging a Dead Horse, Blogalicious. He thinks he´s funny. Actually, I think he´s funny too.

Guerita (meaning “little blondie”) - our eldest daughter. 4 ½ years old, going on 14 and currently obsessed with princesses, fairies and ballet. The ultimate girly girl, she´s inquisitive, talkative and a Daddy´s girl. Guerita was born with clubfeet when we were living in Saudi Arabia, not that you could tell by looking at her feet now. Chiquitita (meaning “little one”) or Chiq - our youngest daughter. 1 year old and a cheeky little imp. She idolises her sister and frustrates her by trying to do everything she does. She´s blonde haired and blue-eyed like the rest of us (except Rocky) so she attracts a lot attention here. It takes a long time to do the shopping!
